Nothing In Common: My 2025 Street Photography Book

I take a lot of photos. There are 20,000 in my Lightroom catalogue right now, and that’s after some heavy culling. I post many of my favourites to Instagram and Irys, and I put a small selection (my favourite favourites) on this website. What I rarely do is print them! Now and again I’ll enter a print competition, and I put on a print exhibition earlier this year, but generally speaking most of my photos have to live a lonely life on my laptop and in the Adobe cloud with rarely a second glance.

What a shame!

I wrote a blog post about my favourite photos from 2025 and that got me thinking about making a zine. I’d already figured out how to use Affinity Publisher as part of my exhibition (I made an accompanying catalogue), and I’d discovered Mixam as a quality print company, so I set about pulling together a larger selection from my 2025 archive.

2025 was a pretty good photography year for me. I was lucky to have several trips abroad, some of which were dedicated just to photography, and I’ve got quite a lot of photos I really like. As I was pulling together these images, the number of pages kept growing and my original plan for a basic zine morphed into a proper book!

The book is a paperback, 144 pages long and contains 75 photos, all taken in 2025. I love it! It’s so nice to have a physical copy of photos to flick through, rather than having to scroll through tiny, compressed versions on a smartphone screen. I highly recommend doing something similar if you have the time.

I didn’t get a huge number of copies made. Most have gone to family and friends, with a few being used for promo purposes. That said, Mixam is excellent so if enough people are interested in a copy (signed or otherwise!), I’ll get another print run ordered. Please drop me an email to register your interest!
